Caffe' Rosto Thermal Fuse
Replacement or Bypass
(I do not advise you to do as I have done. Any modifications to your Caffe' Rosto will most likely void any warranty. Any re-wiring you choose to do is entirely beyond my control and is not my fault! If you happen to get electrocuted or your house burns down don't blame me:-)

This is picture shows the three screws that must be removed from inside the roast chamber. The two towards the front are safety torx #15 on mine. The back screw is phillips (and longer). Be careful when screwing back in not to over tighten! They screw into the black *plastic* bakelite? housing.

Shows the top (shown upside down on the left) separated from the base. The right shows the top of the heater unit.

This shows the underside of the heater unit. The red arrow is pointing to what once was the thermal fuse. I simply cut out the thermal fuse and used a *butt* connector crimped to the old thermal fuse leads. It *was* an insulated butt connector, I always have them around. I cut off the insulating plastic layer first and since the crimping tool can't get in that confined an area used needle nose vise grips to crimp it tight. Works just fine!
